Stephen Fewster

Stephen is a Non-Executive Director of Wallem Group Limited, having joined in June 2018. He is also currently a Managing Director and Global Head of the Shipping Finance Group of ING Bank, member of the Lloyd’s Register Advisory Board, member of the Maritime International Advisory Panel and Treasurer of the Poseidon Principles.  Stephen was elected an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in 1983.

Stephen joined ING Bank in 2002.  As Global Head, Stephen takes the responsibility for managing the Bank’s loan portfolio to the shipping and maritime industry.  He manages a team of approximately 35 people with teams based in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Singapore.  Stephen has over 40 years banking experience and during this time has worked in a number of different areas including retail banking, risk management and project finance.  For the past 35 years he has been providing and arranging finance for the shipping industry.

Before joining ING, Stephen was based in Hong Kong where he was responsible for the Asian ship finance business of Berliner Bank AG and prior to this Hill Samuel Bank.
