Are you looking for an opportunity to start your career at sea? Wallem recruits trainees who have completed the required pre-sea training. The pre-sea training program should include Degree in Nautical Science, Degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering, Electro-technical officer training, or pre-sea training for ratings (General Purpose). All examinations must be passed in the first attempt.
The application process includes the following steps:
2-hour online aptitude test covering the following subjects: arithmetic reasoning, abstract reasoning, logical reasoning, general science, mechanical reasoning, and verbal reasoning – minimum grade B+.
Online cadet entrance test on the following day after the aptitude test on the following topics – English, Logical reasoning, Technical, and safety. Minimum marks 60 in each topic individually.
Technical interview after the online tests.
Upon successful completion of the steps 1-3, the Trainee undergoes a document check, psychometric test, medicals, and a 10-day Wallem Safety Management System orientation programme.
Once selected, the candidate will undergo training on the Wallem systems and be placed on board. A stipend will be paid to the Trainee as per the Company’s policy.

Include a cover letter, write about yourself, your ambitions and why you’ve chosen a career in the maritime industry.
Ensure all academic details are captured in the CV. You must have a minimum of 60% marks in grade 10 and 12, i.e. CGPA – 6.0.
State the pre-sea training institute name, details and certificates acquired.
State details of extracurricular activities, projects, assignments.
Rating applicants should have a minimum of 50% marks in grade 10, i.e. CGPA 5.0.
The CV should include academic details, pre-sea training institute name, training courses, work experience and extracurricular activities. Your professional interests should be clearly stated along with the position for which you are applying.
Candidates applying for a position at Wallem are expected to have pre-sea training certification.
