Green credentials are too expensive
Wallem has assisted many ships in attaining the Green Award, which is an initiative of the Port of Rotterdam. It recognises ships which are extra safe and extra green. The requirements for certification are more strict than under the ISO 14000 but Wallem will prepare the ship and her crew for the inspections.
Ports around the world have shown their support for the Green Award by providing reductions in port dues to vessels which carry the award.
