The Art of Shipping

The completion of
the move into new and bigger offices at the third
floor of Hallerstrasse 40, Hamburg, Germany called
for a special event and so over 40 guests, principals
and representatives from German KG emission houses,
shipbrokers, law firms, banks, class societies and
other business associates followed Wallem's invitation
to celebrate the "Art of Shipping" in our
new offices.
Since we all know that ship management is not an art
but hard work Capt. Joe Corcoran and his team were
delighted that the Hamburg-based artist Johannes Pickert
of heARTof HAMBURG stepped in to demonstrate the real
beauty of shipping with the exhibition of his photos
of harbour views and the distinctly maritime city
landscape of Hamburg. The photos, mostly in extreme
landscape formats are printed on canvas which gives
the pictures the "real" vital touch and
atmospheric perspective. The exhibition provided a
stimulating backdrop for a relaxed evening to meet
and talk with our distinguished guests.
