Official Opening Ceremony 29 January 2007
The Wallem Maritime Training Center
Qingdao was officially opened on 29 January 2007
The opening ceremony and demonstration of the centre’s
modern facilities was attended by guests from PRC, Hong
Kong, Denmark, Germany, Japan, the UK, Singapore, Vietnam
and other countries.
A reception and formal dinner was later held in Qingdao.
Our special thanks to Nigel Hill of Wallem and Captain
Yang of Cosco for unveiling the WMTC plaque and performing
the “ribbon cutting.”
Captain Betts and his team of instructors will now promote
all that is excellent in the field of maritime training
in China.
