ENVIRONMENTAL
POSTER AND SLOGAN CAMPAIGN 21/11/2006
The idea of the competition was to
raise the awareness of environmental issues within Wallem
Group Companies and their families and I feel that by
the quality and quantity of entries we received in each
category we have certainly achieved that. But let's not
have it end there, environmental awareness is important
to us and our families, it should always be uppermost
in our thoughts and actions.
Before announcing the winners, we would firstly like to
thank everyone who took the time and effort to enter the
various competitions. The response in all categories was
fantastic and the quality of artwork and ideas made the
judging very difficult indeed.
The various judging panels did an excellent job and eventually
managed to agree on the winning entries.
The winners are :-
Seafarers and Family over 16 years of age 500 USD prize

Shore based personnel and family 16 years and over 500
USD prize

5 - 10 years old 200 USD prize

Unfortunately there can only be one winner in each category
and these winners will be having their posters printed
up and sent to all vessels. There were however so many
other great entries that we have decided to use the close
runners-up posters to make a 2007 calendar for the Wallem
ships and offices, which will be distributed as soon as
it has been printed. The following persons deserve a special
mention for being close runners up and we will use their
entries for the calendar :-
